why

When I wander through an antique store and see a beautiful, hand crocheted doily priced at $2.00, it nearly breaks my heart.  Why does society place so little value on such a treasure?  It took time, skill, patience, and love to create this little work of art.  Of course I brought it home with me, and added it to my growing collection.  I hope in time more people will fully appreciate the value of these things.
